Deep fried coke?

This is a question for the Scottish people on my flist.

jacqui_hw and I were watching QI tonight and they were talking about deep fried mars bars. Jacqui said she's heard of deep fried coke but couldn't figure out how that works

Anyone heard of it or can shed any light?

Hehe! I keep saying next time I go to Scotland I'm going to try a deep fried mars bar just to say I've had one

I don't like Mars Bars to begin with, the idea of them also being deep fried just.....Shudder!
