I'm just about halfway through S9 of SV now and I am confused. Not about the show, it's just...it's really good.

I mean there's been the odd duff episode (Routlette and Disciple) but overall I am really, really liking it.

I can't work out if it's because the show has got better or it's just because I've stepped back from it so am less emotionally involved. Nothing has filled me with raeg at all so far.

And now I want to go and dig out all my old favourite Clex fics. Does Smallville Slashdom still exist even?

I have no idea what episode of Smallville this is from (I hope it's not spoilery!) and I have no idea if it's a dream or real or what but OMG it almost makes me want to watch the show again. These two are my ultimate Clark/Lois

I really do miss the old days of Smallville.

It's kind of weird watching S4 again now that I'm fully in the SPN fandom and not just a casual viewer. It's kind of a shame Jason's main purpose was to make Lana look good.

I really do think that SV went massively downhill after S3 which is why it's the cutoff point for old_school_clex. Covenant is a really good episode and really it can be seen as closure for the series if you think about it

1. Clark gets sucked into the cave wall where he could easily come out as Superman in a few years time
2. Lana goes to Paris and could quite easily have just stayed there
3. Chloe gets blown up which explains her absence in the comics (I don't care what people say YOU SEE HER GET ENGULFED BY FLAMES IN THIS EPISODE. SV really is king of retcon)
4. Lex obviously survives being poisoned but the attempt on his life coupled with the end of his friendship with Clark pushes him to being the villain we see in the comics

Funnily enough I had a Clois dream last night, which is a new one for me.

Clark wanted to ask Lois to marry him and he'd arranged for Oliver to fire an arrow into the sky that would write the words 'will you marry me, Lois' in fireworks. Only when he got Lois up onto the roof she kept turning away to talk to Clark and missing it. Eventually he just got down on one knee

It was really cute and funny

Then today I watched Hex because mskatej told me to and OMG I love them

I actually think Allison does an amazing job in this episode. Chloe is so smug in the beginning when she realises she can make anyone tell her the truth and by the end when she goes to reconcile with Clark she is just so sweet. I really wish they'd done more with the Chloe/Pete thing though
