Christmas has been a pretty low-key affair this year. In fact the whole period has been. I don't know if it's because I'm still settling into my new job or if I'm just getting to that age where Christmas isn't a big deal anymore but I haven't felt Christmassy at all this year. I haven't watched a single Christmas film apart from Love Actually with jacqui_hw, I haven't listened to any Christmas music at all apart from on the radio at work (and I switched that off after an hour because it was annoying me). I've just felt kind of meh about the whole thing.

And I had a Colin/Bradley bunny last night that was going to be my first NC-17 Merlin fic but I can't remember what the idea was now :(

Things to be happy about

1. I finished the handwritten draft of my clexmas fic. Now I just need to type it up and get it sent off for beta. Not telling whether there's porn or not. It'll be a surprise (or a disappointment depending on your perspective)

2. Jacqui and I had our Christmas dinner and gift exchange tonight. There are pics

3. We watched Love Actually. We watch this every year at Christmas and we know all the script but it's still awesome. Jacqui thinks Rowan Atkinson's character is an angel. I imagined him and Castiel sitting in a coffee shop in heaven talking about their exploits on earth. LOL!

I've only had about 7 hours sleep so maybe I'll go to bed at a sensible time tonight. LOL

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Hope you're all having a good day and that Santa brought you lots of goodies.

We're doing things a bit differently today because Dad-Ra was working until 7am and is working again at 10pm tonight.

We opened our presents at 7 when Dad got home. He then went to bed ready for tonight. Flickums also went back to bed for a nap. I took the dogs for a walk with Mum-Ra and then went for a nap too. LOL.

Woke up in time to watch the end of Gone With The Wind and The Queen's Speech. We'll be having our Christmas dinner at about 5pm.

Tonight jacqui_hw and I had our Christmas dinner. She's heading back to her parents tomorrow and I'm going to mine on Sunday so we usually have a little Christmas party before we go our separate ways.

The plan was for me to cook Christmas dinner but it didn't really work out. After spending the afternoon cleaning and tidying I was so tired I could barely move. So Jacqui very kindly did dinner for us while I had a lie down.

After an amazingly yummy meal we opened some presents and then watched Love Actually. We watch this every Christmas and I love it so much. Every year it makes me laugh and cry. Wonderful

Still debating whether to go and see Take That tomorrow. Part of me really wants to go but the other part just wants to go back to my parents tomorrow and go to sleep. LOL. I'll have to see how I feel in the morning I guess.
