15,000TH ENTRY
Yes, that is somewhat embarassing. I've been on LJ for coming up to nine years now but I'm pretty sure that people who joined around the same time as me haven't posted that much.
What can I say? I like to talk. A lot apparently. LOL!
So,

WOO HOO!
Now I've got one of these its occured to me that I really don't have anything to say. Oh well, hello to anyone who's reading this. I promise to talk about something exciting as soon as it happens. Wow, it's nothing like a journal to make you realise just how dull your life is *sigh*
Ahaha! Oh, the irony. Nothing to say *snerk*
I did this post not long after I graduated university and I was working as a temp and living with my parents so it's no wonder I didn't have much to talk about.
Thankfully my situation has improved rather a lot since then.
Of course back then there really wasn't much of a fandom presence on LJ at all. Most people were still using fanfic.net as this was way before The Purge.
So there we go.

It's twofold really. First of all it's given me a creative outlet. Back when I was first on LJ I was only just getting into writing fanfic but being around other fandom people has given me the confidence to try new things. My first ever slash fic was for a challenge for someone on here, and I discovered RPS thanks to someone on here linking me to stuff. Oh, and lets not forget the mpreg I co-wrote with

And then on top of that I love that LJ has enabled me to meet such an amazingly diverse group of people, both on here and in person. I'm really proud that my flist covers pretty much everything. I've got people on here with age ranges from teenagers through to people the same age as my parents, I've got people on here who are straight, bi, gay and trans and I've got people on here from every continent bar Antartica.
That's really amazing when you think about it.
So, while I am grateful to LJ for existing I am even more grateful to all of you for keeping it a fun and interesting experience
*hugs*
