Christmas has been a pretty low-key affair this year. In fact the whole period has been. I don't know if it's because I'm still settling into my new job or if I'm just getting to that age where Christmas isn't a big deal anymore but I haven't felt Christmassy at all this year. I haven't watched a single Christmas film apart from Love Actually with jacqui_hw, I haven't listened to any Christmas music at all apart from on the radio at work (and I switched that off after an hour because it was annoying me). I've just felt kind of meh about the whole thing.

But as I always do I took photos of my Christmas to share



Long story. I was sending oddlyfamiliar a Christmas Message on Twitter on Christmas Eve and my dad decided to lean over and button mash. The resulting message was 'Merry Chadllizh.txhvZ - frhitqaji- from baryta- from my dad'. He thought this was hilarious and so made this sign while I was in bed

Yes, I have reached the age where my main Christmas present is something practical. This will be good for when I'm on shifts though as I am often too tired to cook when I get home

My dad's famous prawn cocktail. He used to work in a London hotel and made one of these for Bobby Moore back in the 1970s. He only ever makes them at Christmas but they are YUMMY
