Deep fried coke?
Jun. 15th, 2008 01:07 amThis is a question for the Scottish people on my flist.
jacqui_hw and I were watching QI tonight and they were talking about deep fried mars bars. Jacqui said she's heard of deep fried coke but couldn't figure out how that works
Anyone heard of it or can shed any light?
Edit: Mystery solved!
Of course it's an American thing ;)

Date: 2008-06-15 01:40 am (UTC)There is also tempura ice cream in some Japanese restaurants, which is similar.
You can tell, I've researched the subject.

Date: 2008-06-15 04:08 pm (UTC)Now, shameful is admitting that I'd probably like fried coke (sounds like what we call elephant ears).
But I'll never admit that, not even if you torture me with fried ice cream.
