Deep fried coke?

This is a question for the Scottish people on my flist.

jacqui_hw and I were watching QI tonight and they were talking about deep fried mars bars. Jacqui said she's heard of deep fried coke but couldn't figure out how that works

Anyone heard of it or can shed any light?

I come from the land of Deep Fried Mars Bars (never tired one, sounds disgusting), but never heard of Deep Fried Coke?

I don't like Mars Bars to begin with, the idea of them also being deep fried just.....Shudder!
