Now that I've watched all the Frasier DVDs I have it's time to plough through the enormous pile of unwatched films I have next to the TV.

Richard E. Grant was on QI a couple of days ago so I decided to start with Withnail and I, since [livejournal.com profile] jacqui_hw had never seen it.

It's a wonderful film! A brilliant contrast of farcical comedy and bleak depression. Half the time you're not sure whether you should be laughing or not.

I have even more respect for Richard E. Grant after learning that he is teetotal and the only time he ever got drunk was once before they started filming this so he could see what it was like.

Paul Mcgann is incredibly pretty in this and I always feel sad at the end when he's cut off all his lovely hair.

Richard Griffiths is brilliant as Uncle Monty.

If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it.

You can do a practise version of the driving theory test online for free so I just had a go. 39/50 which is a fail but only by 4 marks. Not bad considering I have done no studying for it whatsoever

I'm going to buy the study pack when I get paid and maybe try and do the test for real some time next month.

I'm curious. If you had to choose between Doctor Who (Eccleston onwards) or Torchwood which would it be. I appreciate Torchwood wouldn't exist without Doctor Who but take them as seperate entities for a moment. I'm sure there are people who like Angel better than Buffy too.

I'm hungry. I'm meeting Ros in 20 mins for a Chinese but that involves going back out in the cold.

On the other hand it's not that much warmer in my room despite having had the heater on for the last hour! Honestly, this is such a weird room. I think it's because it gets no sun. It's lovely and cool in the summer when the rest of the flat is melting hot but in the winter it's SO COLD!!!

*shivers*

Ok, going outside and having Chinese it is

Every time my friend Derek sees or hears anything to do with Torchwood he starts doing impressions of the theme tune (mostly by just going 'Waaaaaaawawa') and now I can't stop doing it!

Jacqui has got Torchwood on in the other room and as soon as it started I did the music

So, now I need it. Does anyone have the Torchwood theme that they could upload for me

Waaaaaaawawa!

Which Major Romantic Poet Would You Be (if You Were a Major Romantic Poet)?

You are William Blake! Wow. I'm impressed. Not only are you a self-made artist and poet, but you've suddenly become a very trendy guy to like. It's not that we doubt that you have all your marbles, it's just that we're not quite sure what you did with them to come up with those terrifying theological visions. The people of your time were nowhere near as forgiving as that, and all your neighbors thought you were a grade-A nut job. But we love you, so rest happy.
