You can do a practise version of the driving theory test online for free so I just had a go. 39/50 which is a fail but only by 4 marks. Not bad considering I have done no studying for it whatsoever

I'm going to buy the study pack when I get paid and maybe try and do the test for real some time next month.

Yay, good luck! Fortunately in the states we get that over with in high school, I'd hate to have to go thru it as an adult!

I actually think teaching it in school is a really good idea

Over here you have to pay for it as part of the learning to drive experience

Yeah, most of the ones I wasn't sure about were thinks like road markings and stuff which I will learn easily with a bit of time.

Most of it is common sense :)

Did you see the writercon announcement btw? Someone has offered me a lift but I think I'm going to pass as I'm going away to Cardiff the weekend after and I should save my money

Haven't been back to check the annoucement! I will not be going anyway, so I guess I have kinda lost interest. Great news on being offered the lift, but did you notice that the convention is not in the hotel. So we would have to get to the Town Hall from the Hotel, instead of just settling ourselves into the hotel for the duration!
