Looking for comics recs

Have just finished the first half of the All Star Superman arc I am aware that my collection of DC comics is woefully lacking.

I own Red Son (which is awesome) and I've read Dark Knight Returns (which I was less impressed with), True Brit (which is hysterical) and Lex Luthor: Man of Steel

Uh...that's about it.

Rec me other stuff? Preferably trades rather than individual comics *g*

The good and the bad about winter

We've reached that lovely time of year where no matter how much sleep I get I still feel tired because there's so little daylight *sighs* I could seriously just crawl into bed right now.

Is it too early to make Christmas icons? Well, I'm going to anyway *g* I might hold off posting them for a couple of weeks though. Hehe!

jacqui_hw and I are going shopping for Christmas decorations on Saturday. I'm looking forward to it. Well, not the shopping, but putting them up the weekend after.

Ho hum

Well, I was going to make icons tonight but I've spent all my time writing review posts and replying to comments. I did dig out the snow .gif and transfer all my brushes and textures onto my laptop as well as finishing making Smallville caps for the bases. I want to do some Buffy ones too I think.

I capped the end of Reckoning and it made me cry. I always have the sound off when I'm capping so I don't get distracted by the dialogue and can focus on what's happening visually. Even with the sound off the scene with Clark and Martha just before the funeral had me in tears.

The actual funeral itself is really beautifully shot though. I didn't notice the first time I watched it. I love the way it's lit, even if the snow looks really fake.
