We are insanely busy at work today and our boss, who has been on holiday for 2 weeks, is in Edinburgh today. We've had no support while he's been away and it's been hellish and from what I can tell they haven't even interviewed people to replace the guys who left yet.

Plan is to make a start on my Buffy icons tonight. I'm quite looking forward to it :)

I really need to watch an episode of Season 6 of Smallville tonight too. I keep putting it off. It was the same with all of Smallville really. I had to psyche myself up to watch it, even though I enjoyed the majority of the episodes once I started to watch it. Fandom should not be a chore!

And on a similar note I have a poll about Season 7 of Smallville. IT CONTAINS SPOILERS!

There are Smallville spoilers under here in case you missed the caps lock )

Ok, if I didn't know it already before, Sims is teh crack.

I'm already talking myself out of watching Smallville and making icons so I can play with my Simmies. Bad Hils!

Btw did anyone not friend [livejournal.com profile] hils_simville because you couldn't join the community? A few people have told me they were confused by it. You only need to friend the community but I might just open the membership to avoid confusion. LOL

Ok, so this conversation happened at work today and it amused me muchly

Greg: Can you look up the lyrics to Fluorescent Adolescent by The Arctic Monkeys? There's a line I can't understand
Hils: *reads* Likes her gentlemen to not be gentle
Was it a Mecca Dobber or a betting pencil?
Greg: Ahh!
Hils: Bzuh? What's a Mecca Dobber?
Greg: It's one of those big marker pens they use in Bingo
Hils: Oh! So it's a penis metaphor!
Greg: Eh?
Hils: A big fat marker pen or a tiny little pencil like you get in betting shops
Greg: Wow, I would never have made that connection. And you got it incredibly quickly!
Dave: That's because she writes porn!

1. List your top ten favorite movies ( 10-1, in order of how much you like 'em)
2. Use one sentence and only one to describe why you think it's good
3. Tag four people and see how many of you love the same movies

Uh, ok, I'm not sure I can place them in order but I'll have a go. Don't expect deep and meaningful films here. Whilst I do enjoy them, of course, I see movies for fun mostly

10. Dirty Dancing - Nobody puts Baby in the corner!
9. Moulin Rouge - Spectacular!
8. Edward Scissorhands - Beautiful film that also makes me cry every time I see it
7. Serenity - Whedon you bastard/genius
6. Shakespeare in Love - I was the only one in the cinema who laughed at the John Webster joke
5. Superman 2 - Kneel before Zod!
4. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - Battle of Helm's Deep kicks ass!
3. Titanic - Yes, I'm a sap but it makes me cry every time I see it.
2. The Princess Bride - Classic fairly tale with a good dose of wit and humour mixed in
1. Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl - It's got pirates, sword fights, sea battles and Johnny Depp

My Tom and Michael Sims are boring. All they want to do is hang around talking to their friends.

Would it be wrong of me to have them adopt another baby even though neither of them has expressed a desire to do so? Normally I get my Sims to do what they want rather than what I want but this is dull!
