I was willing to give Season 8 a go even though there was no Lex and aside from the atrocity that was Lana's return it's actually been a fairly pleasant ride. However, I was consoling myself with the fact that this would likely be the final season. Now there's going to be a season 9

Fuck. That. Shit.

Now, I love Tom and I love Clois but, really, enough is enough.

I've already reached the sad realisation that I probably won't write much more Clex when I get my final two WIPs finished, because the show just isn't inspiring me anymore. This is the final nail in the coffin really. Talk about flogging a dead horse.

I know the feeling there except with Nip/Tuck.
I'm actually having great trouble forcing myself to watch the latest episodes of what used to be my favourite show.
It's just got so ridiculous, the main surgery last week was a guy who had branches for arms and legs.
Branches for arms and legs.
Luckily I definitely only has one season left, one of the main characters and the biggest draws is going to die in the next series and the makers have said they're definitely stopping next year.
But I know how horrible it is when something you used to love just loses it.

On a similar note, I can't believe that something which is failing in so many fans eyes is getting renewed yet so many fantastic shows with massive fanbases get cancelled.
