Hah! Not only did I make marshmallow sweet potatoes but I managed to get both my parents to try it too. WOO HOO! They didn't especially like it but getting them to even try it after they refused before is a small victory

I liked it! I think I maybe put a bit too much cinamon in it but other than that it tasted surprisingly good



I bought Max a meaty treat because he is woobie with his bad leg


As you can see all legs are bandage free


He is so cute!

No brown sugar in the recipie I used. Just butter, cinamon and the marshmallows

It's better with brown sugar - I should have mentioned it before. A few tablespoons make a huge difference, and it blends really well with the cinnamon (and lessens the cinnamon overkill flavor).

I'll ask my brother where he got it when he lived over there. Actually, you can make sweet potato pie that tastes almost exactly the same.

The sweet potato pie is a southern dish, so I've only tried it a few times myself. During pumpkin season, there are so many we use it for everything--pie, bread, cookies.

Have you tried sweet potato fries? A little salt to go with the sweet.
