Ok, Clark taking the job at The Daily Planet actually made me cry because I am a big freak. Why didn't he do this ages ago??! I've waited so long for him to get to the point where he's ready to move on from life on the farm

*clings and bawls* My boy is all growed up and on his way to being Superman

I loved him putting on his red jacket in place of the cape, and all the little comments about having a double life

I liked the rest of the episode too but that definitely made it for me

I could have done without the Chimmy and why is Chloe turning into a Mary-Sue meteor freak with her multiple powers? Unless her healing power has gone? I just assumed it didn't work on Clark because he's an alien

Tess I can take or leave at the moment but mostly because all she did in this episode was talk about Lex. Maybe when she gets her own personality it will be better

And of course I loved Ollie and Clark wrestling *g*

Is it bad that I didn't really miss Lex? Maybe because they just totally shit on his character last season. I'd rather not have him in it at all than have more of that.

Damn you Smallville for sucking me back in!

What, no huge long essay of a response?

I could do you one - but I think you seemed happy enough with the episode as it was...

Of course, all that stuff with... *strangles self*

Hehe! Yeah, I was happy, which is weird because Smallville hasn't made me happy for a long time

I've enjoyed most of it (last season that is), but I kind of appreciated some of the stuff they were trying to do, and it fired my imagination off quite a bit. Plus I've no real investment in the slash or fic side of things (mostly), but I have to admit, this was the best episode for a while.

It had everything, everything anyone could want. Clarke reduced to being human, and still wanting to be the hero (this is important as there are times when Superman's powers aren't enough - and if being the hero were all about being some demi-god... he wouldn't be the hero we all know and love), Ollie going at Clark, both as an escape attempt, and while under mind control, rocked. Seeing most of the Justice team together (just a shame they couldn't get Victor and Bart in there - but they were mentioned), the start of Clark/Lois - there were plenty of hints dropped about their feelings, but happily they're both in denial, and they both hide any feelings for t'other beneath a veneer of mild hostility and sarcasm. Ollie said it best when he said:
"Oh, don't worry about it, Clark. If I lived under the same roof with such a beautiful woman, I probably would've mask my feelings in sarcasm, too."

And of course Martha uttered an important line back in Season 6: "All those things have shaped the person you are now... and the person you'll become."

This season in theory should be the most exciting since Clark discovered his origins. This is Clark becoming the person he should become.

Whee!!! *claps*

I think the one thing that didn't sit quite right with me was the whole 'Oh, when Jor-El talked about someone controlling me he just meant removing my powers'

Is it me or does that make no sense? LOL!

Besides, Jor-El has removed his powers before so it's not like we're into anything new here.

Wow, if Lex was still around he'd be disappointed

Loved Ollie's comment about Lex and the Clarkbot though. LOL!

There is speculation that Chloe's computer stuff comes from Brainaic. I hope that means he'd turn up to fix it.

I like Chimmy. I still find that Veronica Mars episode amusing where he's on with the Jimmy from Superman Returns.

Oh, yeah, I definitely think Chloe's powers come from Brainiac but I really don't think they needed to go there

That Veronica Mars episode amused me too

*g* So glad to see you back on SV love wagon. :D

All the Clark, Ollie, Lois, JLA, Clark/Ollie, and Clark/Lois scenes kicked ass IMO.

I know. I was so pissed off that I liked it more than I wanted to...

:nods: I didn't want Lex back and getting crap writing again.

Chloe was boring, and I like Chloe.

Now I just need Ollie to be shirtless.

Hee! I don't imagine we'll have to wait long for shirtless Ollie

It is sad that I'm liking Chloe less and less as time goes on

Plus he's shirtless in the credits!

I know. I love Chloe, but her storyline is getting dull. Poor Allison I hope she's making a crapload of cash since they had all that money leftover from Michael since her storyline looks dull.

Hehe! Yeah, if her only plotline is being engaged to Jimmy I feel very sorry for her

Yeah, I too, was surprised, that I really liked this ep. It was nice to see that Clark is apparently finally accepting his fate. The job at the DP? Niiiiiiice. Lois suddenly making cow-eyes at Clark? Not so nice.

Yeah I know that in comic-RL Clark and Lois are getting together ... but I like living in my CLex bubble where my boys come together. *sigh*

I don't think anything will happen between Clark and Lois, well I hope not anyway. It's supposed to be that she falls in love with Superman first and Clark later

I like the cute banter they have though

Maybe because the old writers wanted to keep him down on the farm even though he saw Paris?

I could take or leave Tess, but I like everything else of the new season.

It's very annoying. I'm on guard this season though and will only watch episodes if people tell me they were good

The premiere of Season 7 was good and look where it went from there

Me too! That scene was soo cute.

Honestly, I feel OK watching Smallville now because they're not decimating a character I love right in front of my eyes. It's all about the eye-candy from here on out for me!

Hehe!!! Yeah, I think now I'm less emotionally attached (although I clearly still am or I wouldn't have cried) I think it's going to be easier to watch
