Let's ignore my wallowing misery and talk about something fun.

Fandom! Fandom is fun, right?

So, flickums wanted to know why shipper names are always silly (using Spander and Pepperony as a couple of examples)

Go to it, flist. Why are they all so silly? And to make it more fun, tell me the silliest ones you've seen. Make some up if you want.

Optimus Prime/Megatron = Pregatron

Ten/Rose = Toes (Ok, that one doesn't quite work but it's funny)

I think they're silly because it helps you remember them better than a name smush. I can't think of any right now other than Kandy for Kip/Bran.

In Reborn fandom all the characters have numbers, and the ship is the two numbers added together o.O

ETA: Oh, and Remus Lupin/Severus Snape is called Snupin, which is cute. I always called it SevRem on my own.

If you don't use the shortened name Spike/Drusilla would be Sprusilla, which I always thought sounded like a weird vegetable or drink (or a veggie drink). Thank goodness it is Spru.

And why are Spangel and Bangel normally pronounced with a hard "g" instead of a soft "g"?
