I'm feeling in a bit of a slump at the moment and rather disconnected from the SV fandom. I'm still reading fics and enjoying them, and making icons but that enthusiasm and excitement that I had last year seems to have gone.

Writing fics has become a chore (apart from the ones I've written with lexalicious70) and I find myself skimming over Michael posts because it just reminds me how disappointed I am at not getting to meet him.

What happened to the times when if I went more than a couple of days without writing anything I started to get twitchy?

I really do think it comes down to the fact that I'm not enjoying the show any more. I know I should stop watching it, and I plan to when Lex leaves, but I'm the sort of person who likes to write fics based around the episodes and when the episodes are bad it kills my muse. I haven't watched Sleeper yet and I really don't care that I haven't seen it.

Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to write fics based around the older episodes that inspired me to write in the first place. I've got a Prodigal fic half-done and just sitting there and my Crusade mpreg is even less complete.

Yup. I was WAY into Smallville for a minute, and then my love started dying (around the 4th/5th seasons). It was sad. :(

I'm pretty much only into SPN right now, except my muse has all but abandoned me. I've got plenty of bunnies... just no inspiration and even less time to write them. :(

i second ceci2176 -- that's exactly what i do. over the weekend, i happily read a ton of harry/draco at the hd_worldcup comm, even though it's not a pairing i was crazy about when i was solidly in the fandom. it was intensely satisfying. or i read due South or whatever. (i don't read buffy yet, as someone told me to hold off on that to avoid spoilers, and i stopped reading torchwood because they broke my heart.)

i always come back to the clex. hope your writer's block/ennui doesn't last long!

I'm feeling that right now. I've recently gotten into watching Doctor Who online, and of course, I have my fics with Ash, but I've been lethargic about writing. I have plenty of ideas, but I think that because I'm still wrapped up in grading, the energy isn't there.

don't give up. my slumps leave me despairing, but they usually pass. I'm sure yours will too, when something comes along to inspire you.

That really sucks. I hate the feeling of being uninspired in general, and this show definitely has a way of... sucking out your soul?

I really love your fic, so I hope you keep writing... And I hope you get your enthusiasm back, because slumps just SUCK.
