3. The creative output. I think fandom would be a lot less fun without all the fic, art, meta, podfics etc
4. TV fandoms let you meet the people you talk about. When I was a kid I was only into movie stars and singers so the first time I met a TV actor it about blew my mind that this sort of thing even happens.
5. No matter what you love there will be at least one other person out there who loves it too and will be willing to squee with you about it

So on Friday I headed off to dametokillfor's house to celebrate Misha and kaylbunny's birthday

What transpired was so damn surreal that we are sure the spirit of Misha blessed the event, or at the very least the spirit of mishaland

God, this fic left me in a melted pile of goo. It's brilliant. These two are two of my favourite J/M authors and really when the came together the result couldn't have been anything short of amazing.
