Morning all

Not been around much this weekend as Dave is here. He's playing Farmville at the moment so I've popped on.

It's very hot here at the moment (by UK standards anyway) but it's nice. Dave and I did some shopping yesterday afternoon and then sat outside eating ice-cream. I convinced Dave to get an iPhone by showing him Angry Birds. LOL!

We went to see 4.3.2.1 in the evening. I kind of went to support my friend who had a small role in it and I have to say I was kind of expecting it to be crap but it was pretty damn good. It was kind of weird seeing my ex on the big screen but I'm really proud of him. He's the only one of our school crowd who's achieved any sort of fame. Have sent him a note of congrats

So, if you get to see it I recommend it. Lots of well known names in it which surprised me.

Sid is in it which I'm sure will make [livejournal.com profile] yavannauk happy and for Doctor Who/Torchwood fans it was written and directed by Noel Clarke who played Mickey (he has a small-ish role in it too) and the woman who played Jackie has a small role in it too.

I'm trying to decide whether to go to London next Sunday. I really miss the [livejournal.com profile] merlin_london crowd and I haven't seen them since last year but as usual it comes down to Money. Got a wedding to go to next month and I need to start saving for Chicago *sigh*

I shall review tomorrow after my mobile bill has been paid.

I missed Doctor Who yesterday so I shall have to watch that once Dave has gone and I've just realised [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang starts posting tomorrow. This year I'm going to do what [livejournal.com profile] kitty_poker1 did last year and put the ones I want to read onto my eReader. I was hoping to have finished re-reading Doors of Time by now but I'm only about a quarter of the way through. Still absolutely loving it though. It really is my favourite fic of any fandom.

10 Reasons I'm Excited About STONEHENGE APOCALYPSE by [livejournal.com profile] cheerful_earl

I am kind of hoping there will be a live stream this weekend so I can watch it with everyone else. I always miss out on the fun live-chats when this stuff is on.

I was telling Dave about STONEHENGE APOCALYPSE this weekend and reading him some of Misha's quotes about it. He agreed it sounded like the best worst film ever. Do they release these SyFy original films on DVD? Because he has to see it.

In other news apparently Jensen is directing episode 4 of S6 of SPN. I'm quite surprised he hasn't done it sooner actually. He's always been into the behind the cameras stuff. So that should be pretty cool. I'll be interested to see what he does with it.

Oh, and for anyone going to A5 the con rates are available for the hotel now. I've booked a room for me and [livejournal.com profile] candygram_5000. WHEE!

I've just realised I am currently doing four cons in two months towards the end of the year. It's probably no more than I did last year to be honest but they're just all really condensed into a short period of time this year.

I'll be comatose by Christmas. LOL

Thoughts?

So, I saw something on fandom secrets (I think) a few days ago and I can't stop thinking about it

The basic comment as far as I can remember was the the person in question was a huge fan of Misha until she (or he?) met him at a con. She said she came away with the feeling that he spent the whole weekend laughing at all the ridiculous fans who had come to meet him and brought him stuff because he told them to. She also said she got an air of superiority off him that she found really off-putting.

Anyone else had the same experience?

I know when I met him he was nothing but nice but it makes me wonder how much of that is put on because he's essentially being paid to do a job (the job being interacting with the fans). He is an actor after all, and a good one at that.

I don't even know why I'm angsting about this really. If he didn't like doing cons he wouldn't do them, right? I mean he can't need the money that badly. I guess I'm just suffering from 'OMG what if someone I admire actually thinks I'm a freak' It's like being at school again where everyone wanted the popular guy to like them and he just thought it was all a big joke.
