In case you weren't aware spnland is back in action.

If you're not aware of it it's a series of small games that range from icon design and fic writing through to bingo and guessing episodes based on screencaps

There are three teams: Team Hunter, Team Heaven and Team Hell. I'm co-modding Team Heaven this time around

So, Greg in my office is a huge comics geek and is largely responsible for the majority of the comics I have read. He bought me my first one as a birthday present a few years ago and it's still my favourite

Anyway, we chat about DC a lot since that's what I'm more well-versed in thanks to Smallville, and Aquaman has been on the receiving end of many jokes.

But today Greg got all excited and the conversation went something like this

G: Hey, you know Aquaman is shit?
H: Yeah
G: I've just found an awesome picture of what he should do to make himself be not shit
H: Oh?
G: Yeah, this is what I would do if I had command of all sea creatures

Rec stuff

I have a feeling that for the next few weeks most of my recs are going to be Dean/Cas centric and not just because Renegade Angels III had started posting. There just doesn't seem to be much J2 floating around at the moment which I suspect is because most people are working on spn_j2_bigbang

Did it get quiet like this last year too?

I can't believe I've been in this fandom less than 12 months. It feels like so much longer in a (mostly) good way

Inspiration

It's funny that even though when I'm actually writing I need total silence I get a lot of my inspiration from music.

It's like my whole big bang fic from last year came about because I was listening to Can't Fight This Feeling and it made me think of Jared and Jensen. The whole road trip plot was just a byproduct of that.

Anyway, the fic I'm working on at the moment has been ticking along but I kind of felt like something was missing. Then this song came on my iPod while I was walking home and it was exactly what I needed to say about my characters. I've now got detailed notes about everything that needs to happen between the point I'm at and the end.

I tend to think of shivedheart when stuff like this happens as I know how much she loved her music.
