It was actually pretty good once you get your head around the slightly surreal world the author has created. I wound up really enjoying it and will probably get the next one in the series once my to read pile has gone down a bit

Next on the list is the graphic novel of Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton. Yeah, I know, but the art is insanely pretty and the earlier books really aren't that bad.

I watched It's The Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester last night so I could look for screencaps for a Halloween header. This is after I watched it at the weekend with [livejournal.com profile] flickums and [livejournal.com profile] artharsil too.

It's a really good episode and the more I watch it the more I love it. I think it's probably in my top five for the season.

[livejournal.com profile] flickums enjoyed Yellow Fever a lot and last night she found this rather amusing little thing on youtube

I really do miss the old days of Smallville.

It's kind of weird watching S4 again now that I'm fully in the SPN fandom and not just a casual viewer. It's kind of a shame Jason's main purpose was to make Lana look good.

Still trying desperately to fend off this stupid cold. Sore throat has now progressed into a cough but I still don't feel particularly ill. It's just annoying more than anything.

Went out and met up with [livejournal.com profile] kafers tonight for Mead Wednesday. Declined to drink any actual mead and had beer instead. Then someone knocked over a glass and I wound up with mead in my lap. I suspect it was karma or something. LOL.

None of the usual Jorvik crowd were there so had to make small talk with a bunch of people I didn't know. Talked about where I work and my fangirling tendencies and then someone said 'so, apart from where you work and liking a lot of TV tell us something else about yourself'

I couldn't think of anything :(

When did I become a social failure?

The thing is I do have a lot of interests. I like to travel, I like photography, I read a lot. My mind just went totally blank. I must have come across as some weird recluse who spends all their free time in front of the TV.
