Sadly I did not get any writing done today but there is always tomorrow
This morning I went to the doctor for my routine check up and was told I need to lose weight (which I already knew). Hopefully going to aerobics twice a week will sort me out.
This afternoon I introduced Dave to Torchwood and he has been going around doing the 'waaawaaawa' thing all night. So glad it's not just me!
This evening we went to a meeting of The British Fantasy Society. It was awesome! I love hanging around with groups of book geeks, who are also into the same movies and TV shows as me. There was squee about Jamie Bamber. LOL
We came second in the quiz *wins but not really*
Tomorrow I think I shall introduce Dave to Supernatural if we have time. What's a good episode to show a n00b, apart from The Pilot. I was thinking Hell House maybe? Or a scary one like Provenance.

I had two dreams about driving last night, neither of them very nice
In the first dream I was trying to squeeze the car through a space that was too small and I scraped one side of it
In the second dream I was driving through town when my dad started tickling me and I lost control of the car. I got out, shaking, and refused to get back in again so dad said we should just leave the car in the middle of the road and walk home. Mum-Ra was not amused.
In other, non-dream related news, my parents are going away on holiday the weekend of Collectormania for a week, which means I have to go back to theirs straight after to look after the kitty. It also means I will be driving to work that week. Meep!
I've been having fun watching vids
tasabian shared of Michael at Dragon*Con. It's a shame Michael won't be doing any Q&As at Collectormania. He looks like he's having a lot of fun. I like that he's taken Chris along to hold his hand ;)

8. Buffy Omnibus vol 1 - Misc
9. Buffy Omnibus vol 2 - Misc
10. Spike: Shadow Puppets - Brian Lynch
11. A Portrait of Lord Nelson - Oliver Warner
12. Anything Goes - John Barrowman
13. 500 Reasons Why I Hate The Office - Malcolm Burgess
14. Watchmen - Alan Moore
15. Superman: Birthright - Mark Waid
16. Fray - Joss Whedon
17. Iron Man - Peter David
18. Nelson: A Personal History - Christopher Hibbert
19. Sharpe Cut - Linda Blandford
20. Queen of the Slayers - Nancy Holder
21. Finding Serenity - Jane Espensen
22. The Fourth Bear - Jasper Fforde
23. Smallville: The Official Companion: Season 1 - Paul Simpson
24. Smallville: The Visual Guide - Craig Byrne
25. The Death of Superman - Dan Jurgens
26. World Without A Superman - Dan Jurgens
This was 100% better than The Death of Superman. It made cry several times, seeing Lois, Jonathan and Martha trying to come to terms with what happened and not being able to openly grieve.
It got a bit strange towards the end but I think it was the right way to go. Reminded me a bit of Phoenix (the Smallville episode)
So, I'm onto the final part now. The Return of Superman

A few random things
Aug. 31st, 2008 04:19 pm1.
kazzy_cee just asked and my Simon's Cat icon is shareable if anyone else wants it. Just credit me please.
2. Only Men Aloud won Last Choir Standing! I was gutted to find out they were perfoming in The Bay about 5 minutes from my hotel the day we left Cardiff. I suspect they will be touring soon. Will have to try and see them, or at least buy the inevitable album.
3. I miss Cardiff.
4. Time to write some more of my uber-crossover. Just watched Christian Slater on Top Gear and I feel prepared to write Jeremy interviewing Tony and Lex now. I think.

How did that happen
Aug. 31st, 2008 09:47 pmSeries 2 of the Iron Man cartoon is actually kind of awesome
I think I shall watch one more episode before bed
Edit: And that was a totally pointless clip episode so one more
Edit 2: And as a reward for watching the boring episode Hulk showed up in the next one. A happy day for me and
