I've decided it's about time I upgraded PSP since I am still using version 7 which is ancient.

How far forward should I upgrade? Is version 12 good? Or should I go with something a bit older but more reliable?

Suggestions?

I really, really enjoy 9. I've had seven, upgraded to 9, and loved it!

You know my views - PSP 9 is my weapon of choice, nice clear interface, lacks a couple of gizmo's from the Corel era, but it's nicer, faster, and intuitive - and still has it's soul.

I downloaded mine off a torrent and installed it that way - and I still have the files and instructions, if you want? (I saved it because of my tendency to force my PC in meltdowns.)

Okay, put these all in the same folder, probably on the desktop. I'm not sure if you need the two folders full of textures and other stuff, it was so long ago, but I included them just in case.

Extra the .zip file, which has the folders with the textures and the .rar file. Extract the .rar, and the doc with "readme" has instructions!

Good luck. ;)

I have to use 7 at work and it's pants.

I use 8 mainly as I find the interface better than 9 (no duplicate button on the layer pallette for instance), but apart from a few small theings, they aren't much different. I kept both loaded though as 9 allows Explorer to show thumbnails of .psp files which is useful.

Cool! I've managed to *cough*acquire*cough* a copy of 9 so I shall probably go with that

Both mine are 'aquired' too. ;)

I have a copy of PS Elements too, but none of these has tempted me away from PSP 8 yet.
