Meh!

It's that time of year again. Every 6 months I have to see the nurse before I get my prescription for my next batch of contraceptive pills. I have my blood pressure taken and my weight measured. Apparently the pill makes you more at risk from DVT and other blood pressure related things, and the heavier you are the bigger the risk.

I'll admit I'm a little overweight. At a guess I'd say I average around 150lbs and I'm 5'3 tall. My blood pressure is fine though. I get plenty of exercise (I walk 3 miles a day and go to aerobics once a week) and I don't eat especially unhealthily. Despite that I know I will get a telling off from the nurse if my weight hasn't gone down since my last appointment, and I'm fairly sure it hasn't. I relaxed my eating habits over Christmas and I went to Texas straight after that. I'm back on my normal regieme now but losing weight seems to take so much longer than gaining it.

Ah well, best go get dressed and get this over with.

My weight has only gone up by 2lbs to which the nurse cheerily commented 'I could put that on in a day' LOL! Not bad considering all the booze, pizza and fried food I ate over the weekend *g*

My blood pressure was up slightly but the nurse thinks it's because she took it less than a minute after I arrived. She wants me to go back next month just to be on the safe side.

All in all I am a healthy Hils though :)

I think it's getting to the stage where I need a new playlist for my KalPod. Thanks to everyone who gave me stuff last time around. I discovered some great new artists and even bought an album (Regina Spektor) based purely on the fact that I liked the song so much.

I love discovering new songs and artists which is why I do this, but rec me anything, even if you think I might have heard it before.

A plan

If I don't write anything until my mpreg is done my total fics for the year will be one. LOL! So, I've decided to make the mpreg my background project that I work on between other things. I'm not ready to give up on it but it's going to be slow going because it's so far out of my writing comfort zone.

As soon as I started thinking about my Superman Birthday fic the bunnies started twitching their noses. Now I just need to get them to come out and play. I've sort of got an ending in my head but I need to figure out how to get to that point.
