Not going to work today. Still feel like crap and I've now got a runny nose and an annoying cough to go with everything.

Supposed to be going to Ros's for dinner tonight. I'm hoping if I spend the day in bed I'll be up to going out for a couple of hours tonight. It'll be the last time I see her until after I get back from the US

Nasty and nice

Why the hell are there so many people in town? Do they not have jobs? All I wanted to do was pop out to the chemist and the sandwich shop and I could barely move for the number of people. I already had a headache and now it's worse. Grr!

Dave sent me a text earlier saying they'd all been sent home, presumably because the heating is still broken. I do time my sick days well. Last time I had one the computer system went down so we couldn't do any work.

In happier news, though, I had two lovely cards from mysticmoonstorm and danaid_luv in the mail. Your lovely, kind words made me happier than I can express in my current state

Also received a present from bornmiddleaged which is now sat under the tree. I love that my friends know me well enough to write 'Kneel before Zod' instead of Merry Christmas *snickers*

You guys are all wonderful! I won't hug you in case I pass on my germs.

I've tried to get hold of Dave to find out what's going on with the heating at work. If they haven't fixed it today there's no way I'm going in tomorrow to sit in a freezing office. I'll just go in for the interview and then go home again.

Unfortunately Dave isn't answering his phone. I left a voicemail message but he hasn't called back

Finally managed to get hold of Dave and it doesn't look like the heating will be fixed tomorrow so I'm not going in. Apparently there's no work to do at the moment anyway so they don't need me.

Got to pop in at 2pm for this interview but I can't imagine it lasting more than about half an hour. The guy barely spoke to me while he was there so there's not a great deal I can say about him. Might stick around for the afternoon if I'm feeling better but chances are everyone is going to wind up being sent home again.
