Went to sleep at 5pm last night and I only just woke up. Still, am feeling better so I guess I needed it.

An observation from yesterday that I forgot to post: Kevin Costner should never be allowed to recite Shakespeare

Yes, I watched The Postman. Greg recommended it! It wasn't shockingly bad, but it wasn't great either. I really need to stop listening to his film recs. LOL

Talk to the Hand was great! It was essentially just a big, long rant about how rude people are these days. I found myself nodding to most of it, proving that internally I am a grumpy old woman. LOL

Next, as I mentioned yesterday, is Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. I hope it's as good as I remember it being

I had a weird dream last night that I was Elizabeth Bennet and I kept finding excuses to go over to Pemberley so I could see Mr Darcy. Also, people kept giving me babies to hold :-S

Checked my bank balance at lunchtime and was all confused as I had less money than I thought I did. I distinctly remember only withdrawing £10 this week. I was all set to go in and report my account being hacked when I remembered that I bought train tickets on Tuesday. D'oh!

Bumped into work hottie on the way back from the cash machine

Hottie: I finally saw Dead Man's Chest!
Me: YAY! Did you like it!
Hottie: It was amazing! *spends ten minutes gushing*
Hils: *wibbles*
Hottie: I need to see it again!
Hils: Have you seen Superman?
Hottie: Yeah
Hils: Did you like it?
Hottie: Not as much as Pirates
Hils: Oh, ok.
Hottie: I officially worship Johnny Depp
Hils: I officially want to marry him
Hottie: Me too! Bye!

I'm so shallow. This guy is a lot younger than me and acts his age. I wouldn't be interested at all if he wasn't so damn attractive :(

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] liars_dance, Line of Beauty is out on DVD. Have added it to my rental list

Greg and Amanda are going away next week and Greg has asked me to look after his kitty while they're away. I agreed of course and then I had a thought. I asked Greg if I could make use of his VCR while they were away and of course he said yes. So next weekend I can watch Neverwhere whilst I look after Greg's kitty. Everyone wins. WHEE!

Well, it's good to see that all those agonising 3 hour meetings at work have come in useful for something. I've been able to volunteer my minute taking skills (such as they are) for the first [livejournal.com profile] writerconuk mini-meetup. I like to be able to contribute something :)

Hee!
