I woke up at 6:20 this morning with my hay fever fully kicked in. All I've been able to do for the last 45 minutes is just blow my nose and sneeze A LOT. Now I look like bloody Rudolph. Big management meeting this morning. Perfect timing!

Gross!

I'm a total snot monster at the moment. This is insane! How much mucus can one persons nose hold?? I took a pill nearly an hour ago and nothing seems to be happening :(

Grr!

Have now tried several times to upgrade Internet Explorer but it keeps saying the version I'm trying to download isn't compatible with Windows XP. There doesn't appear to be any other versions on the Microsoft site and I can't order a CD unless I live in the US or Canada. For fucks sake!

I want to update Outlook Express too but I suspect I'll have similar problems with that.

It's been generally a really crappy day today. Went to the management meeting even though I felt like crap and really wasn't in the mood for arguing with people. Babbled incoherantly because my head felt all wooly and then slunk away.

Then, this afternoon, we were told from now on we're not allowed to talk in our office any more. Apparently my boss got bollocked yesterday because our quality of work has gone down and his boss felt it was because we talk to much and don't focus on what we're doing. We're also not allowed to have the radio on and I got a mini-bollocking for spending too much time visiting other offices for a chat. Oops.

So, not a good day really. Hope my hay fever clears up tomorrow. Feeling like this sucks

Good and Bad

The good: I got my Outlook sorted out. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice. You guys rock!

The bad: Need to try and get my updates sorted. I think I know what I'm doing now but we'll have to wait and see

Patriots in the UK

I watched Johnny English tonight and it got me thinking. Yes, it's a silly film but it raised a point. Johnny was willing to do anything to protect his country which he loved, but most people here just aren't like that. Being patriotic is considered almost rascist over here. Because we have such a diverse multi-cultural society, we've gone really anal about polital correctness to the extent that we're not allowed to be proud to be British in case we offend one of the other races living in our country.

I find that really sad. I criticise my government a lot, and I don't think I'll ever forgive Tony Blair for Iraq but I wish I could stand up, wave a Union Flag and be proud of where I come from.
