Making the best of it

Under the new rules imposed from yesterday my trip to the beach apartment has had to be cancelled. It's disappointing but it is what it is.

Spending Christmas at home alone is far from what I wanted, but I'm certainly not the only person in this situation so I'm just making the best of it.

I've got 5 days off work after Wednesday and I've got plenty of things to entertain me, and several friends who either also live alone or don't have any major plans have said they'll be around to watch things so I'm sure we can get some group streams in.

I think I'll be fine.

I've got presents under the tree, I've got a large groceries delivery coming tomorrow which contains all the treats my parents usually get in at Christmas.

It could certainly be a lot worse.

If anyone, like me, is going to be alone over the holidays or wants to escape from their family for a bit hit me up. I'll be around.

*hugs* I'm glad that there are people online who can do the streaming thing. It's not something I've had the confidence (? is that the word I'm looking for?) to do yet, but you do always sound like you're having such fun.

And a grocery order with treats is an excellent thing.

You're always welcome to join us! Whatever we're watching is mostly irrelevant we mostly find shows that aren't good enough that we need to pay attention to them so we laugh and chat mostly. If we were watching a good show there would be silence :D
