So, starting with A: Ships I currently like a lot
1. Zhao Yunlan/Shen Wei (Guardian)
Guardian wasn't my first c-drama but something about it just grabbed hold of me and didn't let go. I binged the entire 40 episodes in just over a week and was a crying mess by the end of it. There's just something about the way the two lead actors managed to portray the deep love and yearning of these two characters without being able to actually explicitly show it due to censorship laws. I started reading fic as soon as I finished the show and I haven't stopped since.
2. Wei Wuxian/Lan Wangji (The Untamed)
This was my first c-drama and there's no denying how special it is. Again the cast do an absolutely fantastic job, especially Wang Yibo whose character doesn't say much but manages to convey a wide range of emotions just with micro expressions. I still can't believe that acting isn't his primary job. But, yeah, I love that these two characters were given as close to a happy canonical romance as the show could get away with while staying in line with the censorship laws. It's absolutely beautiful and, again, I've been reading fic since I finished the show.
