A Mixed Bag

Ended the week still pretty much on top of everything at work so I'm calling it a win!

And I totally forgot I have 2 days off next week for the cottage trip that I'm not going on, and even better I only found out when I was chatting to my boss about a presentation she wanted to do and she said 'oh, it's on Thursday when you're off'. SCORE!

Had my socially distant dinner with Ros and the nephew this evening which was totally fine. I did have a bit of a wibble when John came bounding out of the house to say hello (he was really good and knew not to come too close) and I realised that I couldn't give him a hug even though this is the first time I've seen him in 7 months. I managed to hold it together until he'd got in the car (his not mine) before having a bit of a cry.

Apart from that it was really nice. We got drive thru MacDonald's and then drove to a nice parking spot on an overpass where you can watch the trains go by beneath you. We parked next to each other and chatted through our open windows.

We've decided to make it a semi-regular thing. Every couple of weeks. I imagine we'll have to stop once it gets too cold to sit with the windows open but we should be able to do it for a few more weeks at least.

We've now only got 2 episodes of Lost Tomb 2 left to watch which madamoisellebon will be watching tomorrow. They still seem to have a lot to wrap up so I'm not entirely confident it's going to have a satisfying ending but we'll see I guess.

And then on Sunday we'll either start The Mystic Nine or watch more Reboot. We haven't decided yet.
