Hello Weekend!

hilsI've managed to have a couple of productive days at work in preparation of my boss being off for 2 weeks. My inbox is now finally back under control and I have a small list of things I need to finish but other than that I'm back to being on top of things which is great.
Had a handover with my boss this afternoon and she made a point of saying she's not going anywhere so I can just call her if I need her. Obviously I will not be doing that but it's nice of her to offer.
Doing her day to day tasks is generally fine. It's when things go wrong or issues get escalated that I get stressed. So fingers crosses for a quiet 2 weeks where nothing explodes. Then, when she gets back, I have a nice 5 days off including the bank holiday. And because it's a Thursday/Friday/Monday I have off I won't need to log in and mail stuff. I'll do a post office run on the Wednesday and then I can just chill. I can't wait.
Movie night was fun last night. Safety Not Guaranteed was not what I was expecting at all, but I enjoyed it.
And I managed to squeeze in 2 episodes of Detective L beforehand which means I only have 6 left to watch. So I should be done by the end of the weekend which means I can finally start The Lost Tomb Reboot.
As per usual I don't have much planned for the weekend. I'm dropping my housemate off at the station tomorrow morning as she's going to visit her parents for the weekend. I'll do my usual few hours of Stardew Valley with Emma in the afternoon and apart from that it'll be a weekend of reading and watching TV I think. I'll probably try and write on Sunday. hc_bingo card to work out what prompts I needed to do to get a bingo while avoiding the ones I was less keen on writing. I have a list now and ideas for pretty much all of them, which is good. It's probably going to cover a few different c-drama fandoms which is fun.
Tonight I've got my weekly Friday Zoom call with the Newcastle fam so I'm going to try and squeeze in some more Detective L before then. I really am enjoying it a lot.

Date: 2020-08-08 10:58 am (UTC)I've just realised I'm the boss in my team and I did the same thing - handover session and told my coworker to call me if she needed anything and she assured me she wouldn't. The only thing she's had to contact me about is something she needs me to do on Sunday night because she doesn't have logins for the system that needs updating. She's even coped with an explosion on Wednesday that I saw the notifications for but deliberately didn't contact her about, so she could decide whether she could handle it alone or not. I'm sure you'll be fine if something happens.
Lack of plans is lovely :)
