It's almost time!

Remember back in September when I mentioned I'd booked to go on a hockey road trip. I fly out on Saturday. That has come around FAST!

Everyone has been making fun of me for going crazy buying all kinds of winter clothing (new coat, thermal base layer, thermal socks, insulated boots etc) but currently it's -18c in Montreal and 8c here. I don't think I'm overreating :-p

I've bought an adorable little netbook for my trip so I don't have to carry my massive gaming laptop around and I can still check in and post pictures and stuff.

We've got an insanely packed schedule though so I imagine most of the time when we're not travelling or doing things I'm just going to want to sleep :D

Definitely sensible to pack lots of warm things: -18 in Montreal can feel like -28 with wind chill. (All Canadian weather reports include the "wind chill" factor.)

I can't believe the day you arrive will be four months to the day since that first tweet. It doesn't feel like it's been four months AT ALL. It barely even feels like it's been four weeks.

But holy crap I am so freaking excited I am practically vibrating! That first tweet started out mostly as a joke, a "Haha yeah, right, like she'll ever go for that, but damn it's such a fun daydream!" and look at what it's turned into. We're going to have SO MUCH FUN, it's gonna be EPIC!!! And I can't wait to tackle-glomp you in the airport because it has been TOO DAMN LONG. ♥
