SPN and Arrow

Not much to say this week. Nice backstory for Benny, more filler for what went on during Sam's year off. I'm more interested in next week when they try and explain how Dean working with Benny is different to Sam working with Ruby *chinhands*. I mean I know Ruby turned out to be Satan's right hand woman and Benny is apparently a vampire with a soul but still. It'll be interesting to see how they handle that conversation.

Also, do you think Dean is only friends with Benny because Benny saved Castiel's life? *removes shipper hat*


Kudos to this show for not doing either of the things I thought were going to happen in this episode. I was expecting the trope of Laurel falling for Arrow whilst hating Ollie at the same time but it looks like they're not going down that route at all. Then I was double-surprised when Laurel's dad figured out he was Arrow so fast although I'm fully expecting Diggle to provide him with an alibi at the start of the next episode now that they're working together.

Still, I like the direction it's going in. The flashbacks are still interesting and they finally seem to have done away with the annoying voiceovers.

I hadn't thought about that! That would be cute.

The actor that plays Benny is good but I wish they hadn't made him a vampire; I'm a bit bored with vamps.

Everyone is bored with vampires. They couldn't have made him a demon though because Ruby was a demon.
