Well, that was fun but really it was just an excuse for Jensen to run around in awesome clothes with a tommy gun. I get the feeling the writers have realised that the time travel eps are popular, however unlike Frontierland I don't think this really contributed much to the overall arc plot of the season. In fact I don't think it contributed much of anything. There was no real character development either. It was basically just a filler episode.

Shame as one of my friends from another fandom who has always resisted SPN decided to watch this one because she loves Jason Dohring. It did little to convince her that the show was worth investing in.

I was so sure Chronos was going to have something to do with Dean's disappearing beer from the last episode but I guess that was just highlighting that Dean's alcoholism is getting so bad he's drinking without even realising he's doing it.

And, once again, the time travel ep was more Dean centric. I did like Jody trying to mother Sam though. Kind of sweet.

I was going to scrap my coda fic from last weeks ep as I was expecting anything I'd written to get Jossed. But really so little happened this week that my coda still works so I may post it anyway.
