Back to reality
Dec. 30th, 2011 11:08 pmThe shifts I worked on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day seemed to drag on forever but the 5 days off I had off after that flew by. Back to work again tomorrow and am working New Year's Eve, New Year's Day and Bank Holiday Monday. Boo!
But then I'm off for another 4 days \o/
My shift pattern is changing next week. At the moment I do three 12 hour day shifts, three days off, three 12 hour night shifts, three days off and then back to day shifts again.
What I will be working from now on is two 12 hour day shifts immediately followed by two 12 hour night shifts followed by four days off. It works out better not only because I get four days off but I get most of the day between the end of the 2nd day shift and the start of the 1st night shift too.
Now for a meme, because it's been forever since I did one

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Probably the songs that were on Misha's Hope 2 Haiti CD. Mostly because I had to listen to them a thousand times while I worked out the track order before they got made.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) Happier or sadder? A little sadder I think
b) Bigger or smaller? Bigger. I stopped working out every day when I got my job and it shows. Bad Hils.

A huge swathe of people on Twitter. I can't even name them all.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2011.
I learned that I really can't measure other people against my own standards in terms of organisation/timekeeping etc. All it does is make me angry and disappointed when those standards aren't met. I'm resolved to be more chilled out and go with the flow next year.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:

Also
virtual_toast made me a load of lovely Sam headers for my LJ so I've changed my layout
