hilsI decided to nurse my hangover and have a movie night tonight. I rented Pirates of the Caribbean 4 and Thor.
PotC 4 was so much worse than I expected. It was overly complicated, there were too many character and I really didn't care about any of them. I missed Norrington and having Groves around wasn't the same without Gillette. Yes, I probably look into this too deeply because PotC was a BIG fandom of mine for quite a long time. I spent most of the film feeling bored and tweeting. If I hadn't paid money to rent it I'd have probably switched it off.
Thor was MUCH better. Nicely acted, I cared about what was happening for the most part and it fit in nicely with the established Marvel movieverse. I AM EXCITED FOR THE AVENGERS MOVIE OMG!
I thought of this randomly today. Whatever happened to the Ant Man movie that was supposed to be being made? It just sort of disappeared. Is it because everyone hates Hank Pym?
So, anyway, that was my night. Now I'm going to read fic in bed like a productive member of society ;)
