*gets on soapbox*

So, here's the thing. I've been thinking a lot about my fandom involvement lately and I think I've realised what the problem is. I view Dean/Cas as a canon couple. I mean logically I know they're not but it's as good as, especially towards the end of S6 with the epic breakup. And the thing is I've never been interested in canon pairings. Same thing happened when Buffy and Spike started sleeping together. I'd been writing Spuffy fic for years and as soon as it was happening on the screen I lost interest.
I guess for me the fun of fanfic is exploring the 'what if' rather than the 'what is'
I don't know if that even makes sense but it's the only explanation I've got to why I am having so much fun writing Sassy and completely dragged my heels writing my DCBB.
So unless something majorly inspiring happens during S7 I don't think I'll be writing much more D/C fic
Sorry :(
