hilsSo, RL is pretty shite at the moment. Things happening that I am powerless to do anything about which is just leaving me frustrated and upset. My emotions are all over the place at the moment. Twitter made me cry (Dean and Cas roleplay accounts fighting FFS) and then the news made me cry even harder (starving babies in Somalia). I'm just a bit of a mess.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, I suppose, depending on how you look at it) my coping mechanism is to retreat into fandom. It's probably not the healthiest way of dealing with my woes but it makes me happy and it's something I have some control over. For the first time in months I actually want to write fic, and a whole slew of plot bunnies hit me while I was joking around on Twitter last night.
I should hasten to add that many of my years in fandom were also when I was happy in RL so fandom is not entirely an escape mechanism. Just at the moment it is.
