Well, the day started off the way it continued really. I woke up at 8am so I'd only slept 4 hours and tweeted that it was too early in the day for Misha (his photo op was the first thing on my schedule). 30 seconds later he tweeted this so we must have been tweeting at pretty much the same time

When a Tennessee cicada comes out of a 13-year hibernation, it goes straight for the gold. http://twitvid.com/T1NN2

I laughed so hard I woke everyone else up. LOL. Oops.

So after that I was feeling a littl more in the mood for convention shenanigans. I got ready and met [livejournal.com profile] lizajaneok and [livejournal.com profile] xenachakram12 for breakfast. It was awesome! A buffet with just about everything on there. Except pancakes. But they had waffles and french toast which more than made up for it. Again, I obv wasn't nervous because I ate a whole plate of food.

It was during this that things got slightly surreal.

I spotted Richard in the same restaurant as us having breakfast with his parents. Didn't make a fuss or anything. Just commented to Lisa and Jenni that he was there and then carried on as normal.

Then, about five minutes later I happened to glance up and I had to do a double take. Saw this guy walking along and thought 'heh, that guy looks a bit like Misha'. Then I saw he was being followed by a group of people and two cops and I realised it was Misha. LOL. Turns out he'd taken his meet and greet on a walking tour of the hotel.

Amazing.

And this was just after we'd been speculating what he was going to be wearing at the con that day.

So we finished our breakfast and headed up to the photo op area.

So, I don't know if you're aware but someone on tumblr was trying to start an Operation Kill God. I'm not really sure why and I'm not sure there was really anything in it but naturally Creation wanted to err on the side of caution so they'd hired extra security for Misha including, as I just mentioned, a couple of cops.

We were told under no circumstances were we to hug Misha or attempt to give him gifts during the photo ops.

Misha seemed to be taking it in his stride though and he even snarked about it during his panel.

So, anway, my photo with Misha. Is it bad that I can't actually remember what we talked about. I remember him asking me if I was Hils and then I'm sure we said something else but I honestly can't remember :-s

Then we spent a minute trying to work out how to pose the photo but I think it came out really well. Lisa and I have been planning it for months so it's a good job really. LOL

Straight after that we went to Guy Bee's panel. Absolutely fascinating. I really wish they'd get more writers and directors from the show to go to these cons. I mean I love meeting the actors of course but I find the technical and creative processes really interesting too.

He talked a lot about Frontierland as that was his most recent ep and said he's doing 3 for S7 too.

Straight after that was the panel with Richard, Chad and Brock. This one had a lot of energy to it. Richard said he didn't want people standing in line at a microphone and instead he got people to stay in their seats and raise their hands and he came over with a microphone. He was really good at making sure Brock was involved as much as possible to his credit Brock was a lot more relaxed than he was in Chicago. I think doing panels with other people help him a lot.

Nothing of note in this panel really. Everyone was really respectful and had questions for all three of the boys. Towards the end everyone was asking for hugs but it sort of became a thing so no one really minded.

Oh my!

After the panel we had a big break in the schedule so Lisa, Jenni and I had a leisurely lunch. Richard and Chad were in the same restaurant as us so we decided after the breakfast thing that Richard was clearly stalking us ;)

After that (again due to the stupid schedule) we had to change into our cocktail party dresses because the cocktail party was straight after Misha's panel. Seriously, who organised this thing. Cocktail party BEFORE Misha's autographs. Just, why?

Poor Lisa bought a dress especially for the cocktail party and then couldn't wear it because her feet were in shreds and she couldn't wear the shoes to go with it :(

But she modelled it for me so I could at least see it

My dress had sparkles

Misha's panel. Some people said he was a bit subdued but personally I think it had mor energy than the panels at A5. Mind, Misha was jetlagged to hell at those and his Chicon panel was with Jared so I guess I've never seen him by himself at a US con so I'm not one to judge.

Anyway, he spent a good five minutes at the start trying to see how loud he could get us all to cheer and scream. And, call me biased, I think we actually made more noise for him than we did for Jared and Jensen. It's stuff like this that makes me not worry too much for Cas in S7. The producers know how popular Misha is, surely? And since Misha's has said a couple of times now that the original plan was to kill Cas off at the end of S6 that means they're keeping him around for a reason, right? Even if he is going to be in less episodes.

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention in my J2 panel is that someone asked them what they think of what happened to Cas at the end of S7. Jensen said he can't really be sure until the first three episodes have aired. So that says to me Misha is going to at the very least be in those and all that stuff about him getting killed in the first ep of S7 was a load of crap as I suspected.

Oh, and Jensen said he can't see Dean kneeling down to anyone. Unless the Impala became God in which case he'd be on his knees licking the wheel-trims ;)

Okay, let's see what I can remember about the panel.

He started off by talking about a restaurant called Monell's that he'd been to for lunch. He'd wound up sitting with one of the Tenessee Titans and then spent a good five minutes raving about all the amazing food he'd eaten there. This will become significant when I write about our trip to Nashville on Monday

One thing Misha did say was that he's not really sure how he feels about Cas being God and that he misses socially awkward Cas :(

Of course, he gave us all a lesson on how to tie laces with a magic knot which he later tweeted a second video of.

He took a minute to thank the cops who had been assigned to his security for the day, especially given that it was a Sunday.

He said that the best way to make him laugh on set is to touch his thighs, which Jared and Jensen do frequently (GUH! Won't be getting that image out of my head for a while).

A guy confessed to having a mancrush on Misha and asked if he had any mancrushes of his own. Misha made a few jokes and then laughed. 'I love all the people who are sitting here waiting to see what I say so they can write stuff' So, yeah, veiled but fairly obvious reference to his knowledge of RPS there. Brb deleting all my fic.

He had a staring contest with a girl dressed as Castiel and she fared surprisingly well.

There was a girl there wearing a version of his French Mistake sweater. First of all he teased her for wearing it in the heat and then said he'd had to fight to wear the fugly sweater in the first place. Apparently he'd asked the costume lady if he could wear a garish sweater and she said she didn't think the producers would go for it. So basically they lied and said it was the only thing that fit properly ;)

He also said he was kind of puzzled by the namaste t-shirt they had him wearing as he doesn't actually do yoga.

Mostly it wasn't anything new but that didn't matter. I just love listening to him talk. I could have easily spent the whole day listening to him in fact.

At the end of the panel he auctioned off a signed script to raise money for Random Acts and managed to talk a woman into bidding against herself. That's what Misha does to people. LOL.

God, I am a bad person. Yes, I looked.

So after that we headed straight up to the cocktail party. Creation's awesom organisation meant there were not enough seats for everyone so we had a load of us squeezed around a table with no empty seat for the guests.

Chad came to our table first so I said he could have my seat. He insisted we share. LOL. So we managed to get squeezed onto one chair, which didn't suck ;)

Next up we had Corin which was somewhat amusing. I was sitting next to Bess and she REALLY hates Christian and was worried she was going to look all annoyed at him. Then Corin decided he wanted to go around the table and kiss everyone on the cheek. I thought Bess was going to die. LOL. She held it together pretty well though.

Oh, and we asked Corin what he thought Gabriel-Jared was and he said 'some blue creature clearly not created by God' and then said mouse. Hee! I kind of wished I hadn't missed his panel now. He seemed super-friendly.

Brock gave us all hugs which was also nice.

Misha came to our table next and pretended to lunge across it to get to me. LOL. Bless him.

Lisa introduced him to Bess so she could get close and see him properly. He was really kind and she started to cry. First thing Connie did was thank him for making Bess's weekend. Really, they were both just so lovely.

We asked Misha about Gabriel-Jared and I'm sure he said something else before he said mouse but I honestly can't remember now. We then joked that we'd decided it was something Godstiel had created in a moment of boredom and Misha agreed. He said there's going to be a lot more weird, fucked up species now that Cas is God.

Richard came to our table last and was fabulous as always. I do love him. Not to the level that [livejournal.com profile] morganoconner does but it's up there ;)

Finally it was time for our Misha's autographs. I decided I did not want to meet him in my sparkly dress so I went and changed back into my photo op outfit.

We saw Richard first so I could get an autograph for [livejournal.com profile] sin_stained_ink and we had a kind of surreal conversation with th security guy standing near him.

He asked me if I'd been to Misha's tea party (which I knew nothing about). Then he said Misha still had some tea backstage and I could have it if I wanted it. I have no idea if he was just thinking all British people like tea, or if he thought I was a crazy stalker who wanted Misha's leftovers but it was very strange. Needless to say I declined the offer. LOL.

So after seeing Richard all we had left to do was see Misha. Usually I look forward to autographs as they're the one chance you get for a little one on one time but I have to say this one was a little disappointing. I think it's because it was so late in the day (he didn't start signing until 7pm) and everyone was tired but there wasn't that usual spark or humour. He looked exhausted when I got to the table and I kind of just wanted to give him a hug (the security guards would have probably shot me though)

He looked at my photo and I said (about the grafitti) 'Sorry, that was Jared. I couldn't stop him'

Holly told him to retaliate so he did. With flair at least *g*

The photo wouldn't fit fully in my scanner so I took a photo and then just scanned the important bit undrneath

Oh, Misha.

I said I hoped everything went well in Haiti and he said thank you. And that was kind of it.

Just as I was leaving he said 'Sorry about the stalking by the way. It had to be done.'

I was too braindead to think of a witty reply so I just said 'It's okay' and that was it.

A big group of us went to get food and then it was time for our goodbyes *sadface*
