Meanwhile, back in the real world
May. 21st, 2011 04:53 pm1. I didn't hate the finale. The direction they've taken Cas in shocked and upset me but I didn't hate it. It's quite Shakespearean really and I was getting quite a strong Macbeth vibe from him in that last episode.
And, let's face it, so much of this was about Dean and Castiel's love for each other that I can't be anything other than a happy fangirl. Remember when we all wanted Buffy and Spike to hook up and when Joss finally gave us what we wanted it was dark and angsty *points at Dean and Cas* This is a close to Jossing us as Kripke has ever got.
I think if Misha is around for more than one or two episodes next year we will see great stuff from him. Plus, from what he told us at the Chicago meet and greet they've been planning on making Cas God for at least a year. They wanted it to happen at the end of S5 but tweaked it a bit becase Cas was contracted as a regular for S6, which brings me onto my next point.
2. I've already said it but I'm really not worried about Misha being downgraded to recurring.
3. In fact the only thing I'm really sad about is that fact that they killed off Balthazar. Really, was killing Gabriel not enough for you?
But, really, there's no point in wallowing. It's done, and I don't have the emotional energy to sit around feeling depressed about this stuff. I'd rather focus on the positive, like the fact that Divine starts airing soon. This is obviously a project Misha cares deeply about and I am really looking forward to watching and supporting it.
Plus, you know, there will be epic amounts of fic this summer *g*
