hilsYesterday I made the fatal mistake of visiting the anon meme 2.0 while I was bored. I really should know better by now.
There was a post about who makes you embarassed to be a fan of a certain character and I was mentioned (although not directly by name). Apparently since the Misha tweets I have become inane and boring with all my tweets being about him. I was also accused of having an inflated ego as a result.
And the thing is I know they're right. I imagine my Twitter feed is incredibly boring if you're not in the group of my immediate friends. It's all private jokes and silliness (yes, centred around Misha).
Anyway, I've decided to try and tone it down. Not mentioned him at all today but to be honest I suspect my non-Misha tweets are even more boring but what can you do?
It's just sad that whenever anything nice happens there are people waiting to jump all over you and ruin any fun you might be having.
Fandom is an awesome place a lot of the time but it's a wonder anyone is able to have any fun with so many negative people out there just waiting to pull you down.
Maybe these anonymice would be happier if I stopped posting in LJ and Twitter all together *shrug*
Obviously I know I can't please everyone all the time but I do want to say that I listen to concrit and try and take things on board if I'm being annoying. Just a shame people don't feel they can say these things to my face. I'm not going to fly off the handle or anything.
