RL (sort of) update

Yeah, I still haven't caught up on LJ or seen SPN. I did an extra night shift on overtime last night or as I like to call it 'convention funding time'. It was good though. I was working with my shift partner for next month. He's a good guy and showed me loads of stuff that I haven't been shown how to do yet. But the exciting thing was he said that he's been unofficially told they're going to make my job permanent. CONFETTI IT'S A PARADE! Just waiting for the official word now.

lizajaneok and qthelights that I would go to the Nashville con if I landed a permanent contract so once my rent is paid next month I'll be splashing out on a ticket. littlehollyleaf are you still wanting to come with?

Now I would like to have a bit of a grumble. I know I have no right to complain, and believe me I know how lucky I am, but I got a little down last night at the results of all the recent Misha tweets. I don't give a crap about all the people I don't know bitching about me but a couple of girls I know IRL and spent time with at all the UK SPN cons I've done spent almost all of yesterday bitching about me (and about Misha). It just made me kind of sad. I had to unfollow on Twitter and I've removed them from Facebook too.
I mean I love that he's randomly chosen to engage me in conversation like this (even if I don't understand why - seriously I'm no different to any other fan he's met at a convention) and I'm having a lot of fun with it but I am definitely seeing the negative side of things a little now. I've been called a bitch, had people say they want me to fuck off and die, stuff like that.
I've actually gone and removed the link to my LJ from my Twitter profile as I don't want them following me over here. You guys are my safe haven *clings*.
I don't know how Misha copes with it. I've been reading some of his replies and JFC there are a lot of crazies out there and some epic creepers too. I think he handles it amazingly well and I'm using him as an example of how to deal with the haters.
Saying that, for all the negativity, I don't want him to stop ;)
