Quick RL update

Well I made it to the end of my first week at work relatively unscathed. Got another week of training and then I go onto shifts after that. Sad news is I have to work Christmas. I kind of expected it being recruited right before the holidays and being on such a short contract but it's kind of sucky. We do tech support for hospitals so obviously they don't close for the holidays.

On the plus side I get a rather hefty bonus for doing it and if I get made permanent I can make sure I get my holidays booked early so I have Christmas off next year.

The weather is still sucky. We don't have a huge amount of snow but it hasn't got over freezing all weekend. On Friday night the temperature went down to -18c (0f) and I was so cold my hands and feet were hurting even though I was in bed. Got the hot water bottle out which helped some. Today it's -5c (23f) and that's in the middle of the day.

I am somewhat dreading driving into work tomorrow. Never driven in snow before. Eek! I really hope it clears soon.

Now I need to get my deancas_xmas fic finished as it's due on Friday and I haven't even finished the first draft yet
