In which I turned that frown upside down

hilsI was about to do a really grumbly post about how I was sick of hearing how I was overqualified for jobs. I still think it's ridiculous. I'd be quite happy doing filing work or whatever so long as I got paid.
But anyway I just had a VERY promising phone call about a job. It's a mixture of helpdesk work and what I was doing in my last job and the pay is pretty much what I was on before. It does involve shift work but at this point I don't mind. I really can't afford to be picky about the hours I work. So long as I can get time off for cons it's all good ;)
The lady I spoke to actually works directly for the company so it's not going through an agency or anything like that. She said she was going to pass my CV along to the hiring department but she saw no reason at all why they wouldn't want to get me in for an interview.
She actually cracked a joke about hiring me on the spot so I do have a good feeling about it. But keep your fingers crossed!
