jacqui_hw's faulty Macbook into the Apple store. Dropped in to see my parents on the way back to York and had a really nice visit. Mum gave me birthday presents (which I haven't opened yet) and bought me cake
We had the usual signing on conversation but I think she finally gets it, especially since I have explained I can afford to top up my NI contributions anyway. So that's good
Had a nice chat with my dad where he encouraged me to sign up and do a photography course so I can maybe look into doing some freelance pro work at a later point. I've loved taking photos since I was a kid and I would love to do it as a career but dismissed it as not financially viable. It's something to think about anyway. Honestly, I'd do it for free if I could. I just love taking photos.
Also, turns out my dad knows way more about cars than I gave him credit for so we're going to go and look at a few at the end of the month. Apparently now is a good time to buy because the new models have just come out so it's when people are most likely to sell their old ones
So, yay!
And I fly to Chicago in less than 4 weeks. I AM EXCITE! I'm wavering over whether to bid on the Misha meet and greet in the auction. Matt Cohen and Richard Speight Jr are doing a joint one which I think could be a lot of fun. Or I could just save my money
