It's 1932. Jensen is broke, unemployed, and living with his friend Chris in Chris' sister's house in San Antonio. It's the depths of the Depression and their prospects are slim. Then Jensen meets Jared and Jared's friend Chad at a block party, and one night the four boys hit on an immediate way to make money - hold up a bank. They think they have a plan, but what actually happens is something none of them were remotely prepared for.
Everyone's heard of John Dillinger and Bonnie and Clyde and Pretty Boy Floyd. No one has ever heard of the Jay Gang. This is their story.
This is one of those fics that took me by surprise in that I wasn't really expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. The author did a hell of a lot of research for this and it shows. She really captured the period and it was really well-written and well-characterised.

In which Jared manages real estate in Heaven and Jensen works as Hell’s attorney in Death Trials. Extreme ambiguity and a distinct lack of beer push Jared to accept a different kind of job in a hotter, more southern locale. The boys meet. Hi-jinks and grocery-stealing in Hell ensue. Featuring saints on book tours, love on trial, after-life bureaucracy, and sin. Surprisingly not as cracktastic as it sounds.
Pretty much everyone has flailed over this already so I'm just adding my rec to the list. This is now hands down my favourite big bang of the bunch so far. Parts of it made me cry, others made me laugh. It's a brilliantly written, engaging and unique story. I absolutely loved it

Five times Sam didn't catch a clue (and the time they finally out and told him) bytwfftf (Non big bang)
Sam has no idea Dean and Cas are in a relationship. Dean has no idea that Sam has no idea - has Sam not been paying attention?
This is just really cute and funny. It made me smile all the way through it
