The state of me

hilsI have been in a really weird mood all day. I had it in my head that I would have a really relaxing day off where I could sleep as long as I wanted and then spend the rest of the day reading fic. Instead I just felt restless all day, like I should have been doing something more useful with my time. I don't even know what.
I read a big bang fic tonight that I was all set to rec until fairly near the end. I know every story has to have some drama to keep it interesting but I was enjoying the fluff and schmoop. When everyone started arguing it just made me sad :( Which I guess means it was written well because I cared that the characters were upset. But now I don't know whether to rec it or not. I guess if I'm not sure, that would be a no.
Tomorrow I need to actually do stuff. Even if it's just go for a walk or something. I might take my camera out actually. Been ages since I did any photography. Anyone got any requests?
Interesting discussion on Twitter tonight that made me think thinky thoughts.
Misha posted two tweets, but then immediately deleted one of them. This is the one that he kept

The other one got sent to my phone which is the only reason I saw it

The discussion that followed was pretty interesting. Someone mentioned that Misha has said he's less spontaneous on Twitter now that he has so many people following him. This resulted in people speculating that Misha is going to start toning down his Twitter now that he's aware of how many people are reading it.
Obviously I don't know why Misha chose to delete the tweet in question. I know he's sent personal replies to people in the past which he has then gone back and deleted. I can't imagine that he's toning it down though, especially given the sorts of things he says at conventions. He just doesn't come across as the sort of person who gives a shit about censoring himself. Maybe he just thought, in hindsight, that the tellytubby tweet wasn't interesting enough.
On the other hand, we don't know the state of his contract for SPN. It could be that he's in a position where he's going to need to start looking for work again soon. Maybe he doesn't want potential employers seeing some of the random shit he's tweeted in the past *shrug*
I've been thinking about this for a while actually, about how we should enjoy Misha while we can. I don't want to be all doom and gloom but once SPN is over I imagine the cons will fade away a few years after that. I always cite Buffy as an example because they're pretty comparable shows. Buffy was hugely popular when it aired but no one runs cons for it anymore (the exception being the broader all Jossverse cons and there aren't a huge number of those.) Look how popular James Marsters was when Buffy was on the air and now he pretty much just does guest slots and the odd TV movie here and there.
Now don't get me wrong, I would LOVE for Misha to go on and do great things. He has the talent for sure, ditto Jensen. But from what I've seen it's pretty rare for cult TV stars to go on and make it big elsewhere.
So, you know, enjoy the crazy tweets and convention appearances while you can is all I'm saying. Because I think if it came down to getting another job or amusing us the job is going to win. He's got bills to pay like the rest of us. I think that's why he's doing just about every con he gets offered. I'm not saying he doesn't enjoy them because clearly he does, but I think he probably realises he's only going to get a few years out of this.
But hey, who knows, I might be totally wrong. I kind of hope I am to be honest.
