hilsI think season five is actually my least favourite season of SPN. I mean there were some episodes that I loved but overall I think it was even worse than season three.
Agree/disagree?
I just think the pacing was massively off and it doesn't have the writer's strike excuse that S3 had.
This should have been an epic storyline building up to this amazing final moment and it just fell totally flat. There was no sense of urgency or tension considering they were dealing with the end of the world.
I had no emotional reaction in the final episode at all apart from a brief second of shock when Cas exploded. I was pretty sure from how it was done and when it occurred that Cas and Bobby would be back so their deaths didn't affect me. Sam jumping into hell was pretty much a given. I dunno, the whole thing just felt a bit off.
Maybe I'll change my mind during my summer rewatch but right now I'm just feeling pretty meh about the whole thing.
Jim has said he'll be back for S6. Misha hasn't said anything yet. Time will tell I guess.
I'm not ready to find a new fandom yet because I feel like I only just got here. I'm just a bit disappointed I guess.
