I was really dubious about this when I read the summary but it's actually pretty awesome. Gabriel's voice is spot on.

READ THE WARNINGS BEFORE YOU READ THIS. That aside this is brilliant. It's one of the most painful things I have ever read but it absolutely fits the tone of the episode.

Hope Runs Dry by_mournthewicked
Castiel makes a soft noise in the back of his throat but doesn’t pull away. Sam reaches up to curl his fingers in the lapel of his coat, surprised by the emotion that runs through him at the first touch of their lips.
I never even thought of this as a possible 5.16 coda but OMGYES!
