One more thing
Apr. 9th, 2010 10:31 pmI think the main thing that bugged me about the end of this weeks SPN isn't what bugged everyone else
I actually don't have a problem with Dean turning up at Lisa's house and all but declaring his love for her. He's incredibly fucked up, emotionally, at the best of times and he's in a really messed up place right now. He thinks his brother is happiest when he's not around him, Cas has gone off on a bender and God isn't interested in helping him. Of course he's going to latch onto what he thinks should make him happy. A new family.
What bugged me more was Lisa. She's an attractive, smart woman. I really can't buy her being single and willing to actually listen to Dean. Yes, they had a weekend of amazing sex A LONG TIME AGO and I get she'd be grateful because he saved Ben's life. But, I'm sorry, even if it's Dean Winchester I'd be massively creeped out if he turned up two years later and said what Dean did. But, no, she cries and invites him in.
What I would have preferred to happen would be for Dean to turn up at Lisa's, shattered and alone and she's got a boyfriend/husband who is awesome. That would be what severs Dean's last tie to life on Earth and prompts him to say yes to Michael
I just find it slightly insulting that the writers think women have nothing better to do than sit around waiting for Dean to waltz back into their lives.
Jo was the same but at least they made her awesome before they killed her.
