So, last night I had a dream that I tried to book a ticket for Asylum 5. When I got there I was told that one of the days had sold out so I could only go on the Sunday. I said I didn't mind because I only wanted to see Misha. But when I came to pay it all went horribly wrong. Cheech Marin (IDEK!) was running the con and started telling me that I couldn't go for just one day because it was sold out. Everything got massively confusing and in the end the woman who plays Sun in Lost (again IDEK) said she was pulling out as a guest because it was so badly organised.

You think I'd have taken this as a warning, right?

Wrong.

I do quite literally feel ashamed of myself but I have just bought a ticket. It will most likely suck but at least a bunch of my friends are going so I can enjoy the social side even if the rest of it is a disaster. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to see Misha again and Richard Speight Jr is going to be there too.

God, I really have no principles :(

Plus I think I got spoiled for Collectormania where I had the chance to have quite a few fairly lengthy conversations with Misha (when I eventally got over my nerves). I suspect we will wind up being rushed through this time, if any of the others are anything to go by.

But it's done now. Ah well. October is going to be a busy month with [livejournal.com profile] wincon a couple of weeks before. At least Birmingham isn't too far away.

Is anyone going to Asylum and in need of a roomie?

In other news I really need to get a better grasp of geography. [livejournal.com profile] flickums asked me to drive a bunch of us to Alton Towers next weekend for her hen party. Now, I'm sure you all know that I hate driving long journeys so I was having a massively flailing panic attack until I looked it up on Google. It's only 30 mins away from Sheffield. LOL! I got it into my head I was going to be driving for hours in each direction.

I am rubbish.
